"I had purple ankles and heels that were getting darker and darker. I was embarrassed to wear skirts, shorts or sandals. My family physician sent me to a podiatrist. He did not take an ultrasound or any type of test. He told me to use a support stocking and live with it. I went for acupuncture and massage. This helped for an hour or two and then back to purple. I have been a patient of Dr. Fleisher's since November 2009. When I went to see Dr. Fleisher I was having tiredness and heaviness of both legs. But, even more important to me was that my left leg looked horrible with the bulging varicose veins. When I went to Florida to see my grandkids (and also at home with the grandkids) they all would love to rub their finger on grandpa's booboo. Also, I would never wear a bathing suit or shorts. I delayed consulting a physician regarding my varicose vein because I assumed recovery would be for an extended amount of time. My hectic life didn’t allow for a lengthy recovery. I wish I knew that this procedure would barely interfere with my daily routine. I would have had it done much earlier. My procedure was performed at 3:00 in the afternoon and I was back to work the next morning. Dr. Fleisher and his staff were quick to comfort and keep me calm throughout the entire process. The procedure itself was so simple. After it was finished I walked down the hall for a Microdermabrasion treatment, which too, was amazing, before driving myself home. The throbbing and swelling as a result of my varicosity is gone. Thank you for helping me along with the process. I couldn't thank the parent who referred me and she wasn't even a patient. I will never forget when she told me about her co-worker and I immediately called your office for a consultation. Although I came in immediately, I hesitated about doing the actual surgery. I will start by saying this is the best thing I have ever done! Dr. Fleisher has removed years of pain and embarrassment in just (3) procedures. For years, I did not wear shorts or skirts - go to the beach - forget it. I was so embarrassed at the way my legs looked. My right ankle was turning darker and darker each year, my leg continued to be swollen and I kept finding more veins. My legs were always tired and felt heavy, too. But more than cosmetics, it was the incredible pain I experienced. I was taking OTC medication twice a day for several years. But that all changed the day I had my first procedure.
